Private clinic SEO
SEO for private clinics, so patients book with you and not the clinic down the road.
SEO for UK private clinics: travel, ear care, weight management and minor procedures. Treatment pages and local search that turn searches into bookings.

How patients choose a private clinic
Nobody browses for a clinic. They have a problem, like a blocked ear, a trip to Thailand in six weeks, or a mole they want checked, and they search for it with a town name on the end. Then they look at two or three results, compare prices and reassurance, and book the one that feels right.
That's good news for a local clinic. You don't need to beat a national brand everywhere. You need to be the clearest, most trustworthy answer for the treatments you offer, in the places your patients actually travel from.
One page for each treatment
This is the biggest single change I make for most clinics. A treatment page should answer what a patient would ask on the phone, before they have to ask it.
- Who the treatment is for, and who it isn't for.
- What happens at the appointment, step by step.
- How long it takes and what recovery or aftercare looks like.
- Price, or a clear "from" price if you publish one.
- Who carries it out and their qualifications.
- A booking button that takes them straight to that treatment.
Treatments that need a bit of planning
Some services are seasonal, so the pages need to be live and ranking before demand peaks, not after.
- Travel vaccinations: searches climb in the new year and again before the summer holidays.
- Ear wax removal: steady all year, with plenty of "near me" searches.
- Weight management: high demand, but the wording needs care because prescription-only medicines can't be advertised to the public.
- Minor procedures such as skin tag or mole removal: patients research for a while before booking, so detail and reassurance matter.
- Health checks and blood tests: often bought as gifts or around new year resolutions.
Local search and your Google Business Profile
For most clinics, the map results bring in more bookings than anything else. I set up and look after your Google Business Profile properly: the right categories, every treatment listed, real photos, accurate hours, and a simple routine for getting genuine reviews from happy patients.
If you run more than one location, each one gets its own profile and its own page, so they help each other rather than compete.
Trust, registration and the rules
Depending on what you do and where you are, your clinic may be registered with the CQC in England, Healthcare Improvement Scotland or Healthcare Inspectorate Wales. Showing that clearly, along with who your clinicians are, does a lot of the persuading for you.
Marketing claims on your own website fall under the ASA's CAP Code, so I avoid the promises that get clinics into trouble, like guaranteed results or "pain free" claims you can't back up. You approve every clinical word before it goes live.
How we start
Send me your website and I'll come back within one working day with the three things I'd change first. If we work together, plans start at £299 a month on 30 days notice, and you'll get a plain-English report each month showing searches, visits and the bookings that came from them.
Questions practices ask
We already get bookings from our website. Is SEO still worth it?
Usually, yes. Most clinics I look at rank well for one or two treatments and barely show up for the rest. Filling those gaps is often the quickest way to add bookings without spending more on ads.
Can you write the treatment pages for us?
Yes. I write them from a short call with you or your clinician, so they sound like your clinic. You check the clinical details before anything is published.
Do you work with clinics outside Scotland?
Yes. I work remotely with clinics anywhere in the UK. Local SEO is built around the towns your patients come from, wherever that is.
What about our booking system?
I'll work with the one you have. The aim is that every treatment page links straight to the right booking slot, so patients don't have to hunt for it.
